Heart to Heart
Are you looking for love? Do you long for that wonder of all consuming love, that incredible knowledge that you are loved unconditionally and forever, and that you love more than you ever imagined possible? Are you looking for a love that is passionate, challenging, gentle, faithful, nurturing, and everlasting? Well, I know where you can find it.
Passionate--there is no greater love than the love of one who would sacrifice his own life for others.
Challenging--be perfect even as your father is perfect.
Gentle--let the little children come near me.
Faithful--I will never leave you or forsake you.
Nurturing--the bread that I will give is my life, my very self.
Everlasting--I am with you always.
Sound familiar? Yes, it is all to be found in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Whose feast we celebrate tomorrow. Ask Him to let you enter through the wound in His side into that loving, merciful Sacred Heart. And throw open the doors of your own heart to let Him in. Go for broke! Turn everything over to Him. Give yourself entirely, holding nothing back, to Him. Let yourself be utterly absorbed into Him and never look back. Burn, brothers and sisters, burn with love for Him Who so burns with love for you. And will you ask Him to allow me to burn too?
