Hi Vincent! It's great to have met you today. You have much conviction and spiritual strength. I am praying for your discernment. May God bless you with grace and courage as you follow the deep desire to offer yourself totally to Him. I pray Mary Help of Christians be with you always.

Yo Vinny. Thanks for the advice. Praying to Our Holy Mother has always helped me, but I guess that sometimes it passes my mind. Seriously. I'm glad to part of your group "Friends of St. Dominic Savio." I've known this saint for most of my life, ever since I was 6, actually. I got his biography as a birthday present. He has ever since helped me in my life through his motto, " I would rather die first than commit a sin." By the way, did you know that St. Dominic actually started a group with the name "Friends of St. Dominic Savio"? (Actually, the name was given some years after his death.) It's pretty cool that you brought it to the web.

Cool. Well, I am totally partial and I love the SDBs... regarding purity and the sins against the Holy Spirit... be not afraid. Stay close to Jesus and Mary... realize you are human and may fall at some point, BUT that God's mercy is infinite and that is your consolation. What do you mean by Sins against the Holy Spirit? The only one I am familiar with is despair... to believe that your sins are so great that God cannot forgive you... that your sins are bigger than an infinitely merciful God (really, its a form of pride). Its sort of a ridiculous sin if you think about it. God is mercy and then to think He cannot forgive you... pretty ungrateful! But I get a feeling you know God is so good... so don't worry. Sometimes we can be so concerned about avoiding sin that we forget to live the present and to live with with LOVE.

Be holy, but like DB said... remember that that consists in being cheerful and good to others, through whom we show our love for God.

I will be praying for your discernment. Please pray for me!

Pretty good. I missed everyone, so it was good to get back today! It was not easy to come back, though. Life offers a lot of tempting alternatives! But I know my heart is here, so I am just going to continue discerning.

Are you thinking of joining the SDBs?
