what you said about working with disadvantaged youth reminded me of something I read a while back. I don't actually remember how it went!! but Don Bosco spoke about working especially for the poor and abandoned youth. I'm still only learning abouth him myself but if I find the quote again I'll let you know. Its always a joy for me to read about his dedication and how simply he approached all problems by doing what what was right and placing the consequences in the hands of Our Lady

I know how challenging and full of hope a move can be so i wish you all the best with all the new opportunities in Chicago. I'm due to move again in a few weeks time - Italy this time. I'm looking forward to it because it involves a lot of challenges and unknowns that really I can only rely on God to control. Also, I think they will have a better internet connection there...

But sometimes for healthy living and loving to go on, some distance is needed, in some cases permanently. Although I hope that doesn't get to be the case with you and your dad. I have on-going issues with what's left of my biological family, and my British adoptive family. Glad you're staying with your mom and keeping up your schooling. Believe me, I wish I'd been that lucky. But, it's all in God's Hands. I'm writing a book with the blessing of my Rector at St. John Bosco's Parish here on McVicker St. in Chicago. I'll have to show it to you as I get it done. I've already got the first chapter done yesterday. I think you'll like it as much as the kids of the parish do. Thanks for your e-mail address. I have to admit I didn't know where to start with things with both Chicago, when I moved back to it two years ago after having been away from it for a long time.
