- About Me:
- I am retired and have been an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion for nearly 34 years and active in the RCIA for about 15 years. I just moved from Whitestone, NY to Yonkers, NY and am living in a Senior Apartment complex sponsored by the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart. I live alone and treasure the friends I have in Bayside, Flushing, and Whitestone where I have lived for most of my life. I have many friends in the Salesian Family, SDB, FMA, Cooperators, and Don Bosco Volunteers. The Salesian Family is my family and I cherish it greatly. I am proud to be a disciple of Jesus in the way of St. John Bosco.
- How did you hear of the Salesians?
- I have been a Salesian Cooperator for 26 years thanks to the wonderful example of Brother John Zito. I saw him and said to myself: "I don't know what it is he's got, but whatever it is, I want it!" And the rest,as they say, is history. In 6 years on the Cooperators Province Council, 3 as Secretary and 3 as Coordinator, I have come to know so many of you wonderful Salesians. You are my family and I love you all dearly. I saw your section on befriending a Salesian. What a super idea! I have now befriended a few Salesians and am delighted that you have set up sites for the Cooperators and Don Bosco Volunteers.
- What do you think God is calling you to?
- To continue to live the Gospel in a radical way in the world, to promote devotion to and respect for the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, to continue in my apostolates, and to be a real contemplative in the world. Our beloved Fr. Paul Avallone referred to it as being "contemplactive." Isn't that a great term!

Dear Salesian Family,
At this Easter Season, I send you the attached small gift from my heart.
May we find at the foot of the cross and at the empty tomb Him for Whom we all are searching and longing. He is risen as He said. Sing your alleluia with a full voice and let Him fill you with His loving presence.
