Our philosophy
To bring the High School kids to an encounter with Christ in the spirit of Don Bosco.
1. Evangelize them to help them know their Vocation.
2. Welcome them so that they feel at home and giving them a place where they can meet new friends, and experience the love of Jesus Christ and others.
3. Through fun activities the youth will feel welcomed, at home and at peace.
Our goals
One Saturday a month, we will have a talk about vocations as presented in the Theology of the Body workbook, which will help the kids to know who there are as a person. We will also celebrate each kid’s birthday in that month and we will have a social event to cut the cake with them as well as have some kind of entertainment. We will also provide opportunities for outside events such as trips to Six Flags, Washington DC, the Stature of Liberty and other locations in the local area such as the Salesian Retreat House in New Jersey and the Marian Shrine in Stony Point, New York.
Our Rules:
A) Respect yourself and others.
B) Be Happy
C) Be Optimist
D) Be Love
Materials we are going to use:
a) Books: Theology of The Body for Teens Discovering God’s Plan for Love and Life.
b) PowerPoint, movies
