Salesians of Don Bosco

I am a youth minister from the mid-west and am looking at bringing a group of teens to the Pro Life March in DC in 2010. This will be my 3rd pilgrimage with teens. I was wondering if there anyone knew of a camp or retreat center that can accomadate a small group of about 15 (adults and teens) for the 3-4 days of our visit? We can pay a small fee but cannot afford hotels in the DC area.Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul,

Every year, the Salesian community/parish at Washington, D.C. hosts groups like yours who comes to the March 4 Life. The director/pastor of the community is Fr. Steve Schenck. Here's the contact information:

Nativity Catholic Church
6000 Georgia Ave. N.W
Washington, DC 20011-5104
202-726-6262

Good luck! :-)

Dear Bro. Trong,

Do you know of any place that would have shower facilities? Since we come from the midwest, the trip is 3-4 days for us. Thank you for all your help and prayers.

Hi Paul,
I don't know of any place there that has shower facilities. Have you contacted Nativity Parish? There is Fr. Abraham on this site at http://salesian.ning.com/profile/FrAbraham. He is a member of the Salesian community at Nativity Parish. He's a cool guy who can point you in the right direction.

There's also a Salesian presence in Cristo Rei in Our Lady of Sorrows at Takoma Park MD. That's an hour from DC.
